Some of THE best crinkle cut fries I've ever had, and just all around clean, delicious, expertly crafted drive-in fare. I make excuses to go here when passing through Kent. Lots of tasty choices, but I almost always go for the Ranch basket.

Great service, price great and amount of food is also great. Always coming back when in area and want a decent meal.

This place is one of our go-to spots. After giving Family Drive-In a shot one night when I was craving fish and chips, my wife and I have been regular and loyal customers ever since. They have some of the best burgers and fries (and I Love their fry sauce that comes with their burger meals). The menu selection has something for Everyone! You can get shakes, burgers, fried cheese, fish and chips, and anything else that you would want a drive-in to have.
I really love supporting local businesses in my community, and that is a big reason why I like to come here. The employees and owners of this drive-in are some of the nicest and hardest working folks you'd ever hope to meet. The girl that works the counter most nights is so sweet and helpful. If you have an appetite for some yummy good food served fast, please give this place your business! -

OMG, just absolute, melt in your mouth, old fashioned yummy goodness! This place blows Dicks out of the water! Kind of pricey...Well, really pricey! But hey, you only live once, right? Might as well spend that hard earned cash on pretty much the best old fashioned tasting burger I have had since I was a lil kid in the mid 80's. Classic old fashioned burgers.
This place is always jam packed for good reason. The burgers are addicting! -

I could see why this "drive in" was once considered an iconic establishment in Kent but it's really nothing special. Aside from the nostalgic decor and building the food is extremely overpriced. You're better off going to an actual diner or five guys where you can eat a monster sized burger with all the fixings. This place's claim to fame is their fry sauce that is pretty much just a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise that you can make anywhere. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, with large fries and a strawberry shake. The burger was ok - tastes similar to a burger you'd make at home or get at your friend's bbq. The fries were solid, they're the frozen crinkle cut fries but we're at least made fresh and hot. Out of everything we ate the shake was definitely the best. The ice cream tasted like Haagen Daaz and was blended to the right consistency. There were also pieces of strawberry syrup as opposed to the artificial stuff which earns them extra brownie points. In all, I won't be back but since moving here it's been a joint I wanted to check out due to the old drive in building.
